How can the BBC claim not to have known about his abuse when at the height of the Yorkshire Ripper murders he was interviewed by Yorkshire Police who have admitted he was a suspect. The Ripper murders took place from 1975 until Peter Sutcliffe was charged in 1980 with the killing 13 women. The BBC have admitted to it being an "open secret"about Jimmy Savile who abused some 300 young people over a 40-year period.
Jimmy Savile was banned from working for Children in need for 10 years by a former BBC governor Sir Roger Jones said he had suspicions about Savile. Read story
Jimmy Savile's former director on Jim'll Fix It reveals he saw the presenter having sex with a 16-year-old girl in his dressing room and informed BBC officials who 'did nothing'. David Nicolson, 67, said he reported the incident to his bosses at the corporation in 1988 but was rebuffed and simply told: "That's Jimmy". Read story
On the 5th of December 2012 Sky news reported that BBC broadcaster Stuart Hall has been charged with three counts of indecent assault against young girls aged between eight and 17. Hall was arrested at his home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on Wednesday morning.
